Submitting Invention Disclosure Forms

The CSTC has an Invention Disclosure Form to be completed,  the Invention Disclosure Form (Word file). 

1. Complete the Invention Disclosure Form (Word file).
2. Submit the Form to the CSTC by
   Emailing the disclosure to mgenest@adp.uchc.edu
   Faxing the disclosure to 860-679-7512
   Mailing a hardcopy to:
   The Center for Science and Technology Commercialization
   University of Connecticut
   263 Farmington Avenue
   Farmington, CT 06030-6207.
   *In all cases a hardcopy of the original signature page must be submitted.
3. Upon receipt, the Invention Disclosure will be assigned a case number for tracking purposes and an acknowledgement will be sent to you via email.
4. You can expect to be contacted by the Technology Licensing Director assigned to your invention disclosure within a few weeks after the submission.
5. The Licensing Director will meet with you to learn more about your invention and begin to evaluate the technology for commercial potential.
6. The invention will be presented to the CSTC committee and will be considered for patenting based on technical merit, patentability, and marketability.
7. You will be notified of the CSTC committee’s assessment of the invention.
