Sending Materials to Other Institutions or Companies

Before sending materials or other technologies developed in your laboratory to other institutions please consult with the CSTC.  Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) used for sending materials to academic or non-profit institutions are different from MTAs used for companies. Sample MTAs are provided here for your reference, Commercial Material Transfer Agreement (8K PDF) and Non-Profit Material Transfer Agreement (18K PDF). These Agreements will define the conditions under which the material can be used. The CSTC will negotiate Material Transfer Agreements for you. As with Confidentiality Agreements, an authorized University Official must sign the Agreement. After the Material Transfer Agreement is agreed to and signed by all parties the CSTC will provide you with a copy for your records, after which the requested material may be sent.
